JAMAICA

about JAMAICA

Location: Central America (Island)

Language: english (patois)

Jamaica, a Caribbean island nation, has a lush topography of mountains, rainforests and reef-lined beaches. Jamaica is famed as the birthplace of reggae music. Jamaica is the only country that International Samaritan visits where English is the primary language, though they do speak a different dialect called Patois.

About riverton, jamaica

Riverton City is a landfill site on the outskirts of Kingston, Jamaica. In March 2015, it was the site of a major fire, starting on the 11th of March. The poor air quality brought a halt to activities in Kingston, as businesses, schools and other services were forced to close down early. The Medical Association of Jamaica called on the Cabinet to tackle the public health risks, saying that at least 600 people had attended public health facilities as a result of smoke inhalation.
