More than 700 million people in the world live on less than $2 a day, putting them below the line for extreme poverty.

We can change that.

What is Fast2Change?

A month-long effort to raise awareness and funds for people living and working in garbage dump communities around the world. The event kicks off with a $2 fasting day on the first Friday of Lent.

Why $2?

In the communities we serve, the average person lives on less than $2 a day, putting them below the line for international extreme poverty.

What are we fundraising for?

We’re raising money for a variety of different scholarships, shown below. These scholarships  enable people to focus on creating a new life for themselves away from the dangers of the garbage dumps. 100% of all donations go to those in need in the countries we serve.

What countries are these communities in?

We’re raising money for communities in Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Ethiopia. You can learn about the specific communities here.

How long is Fast2Change?

Fast2Change starts on the first Friday in Lent and ends exactly one month later, giving you one month to choose a fast day and fundraise.
