CEIBA, a 40-year old Guatemalan not-for-profit organization, is now developing programs at Santa María Básico, a school built with funds raised by International Samaritan in the Guatemala City garbage dump neighborhood. International Samaritan is thrilled to have such a capable, committed partner using the school so well.

With more than 450 students attending the Básico in three different shifts, CEIBA’s curriculum includes high school instruction and technical classes in design, computer maintenance and repair, call center work, and more. The main programs run a full 6-months in order to impart truly marketable skills to students. Above all, CEIBA has a long track record of successful job placement for graduates.
