Reconstruction of St. Ignatius Nursery was aided by the addition of ten helping hands as Michael, Alyssa, Ana, Kelsie and Hank LaValley journeyed to San Pedro Sula, Honduras to assist in the nursery renovation project.
The LaValley family, led by volunteer and long time friend of I.S. Matt Ippel, worked tirelessly to improve the conditions of chronically poor inhabitants of the garbage dump community there in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

Damaged by an earthquake three years ago, the St. Ignatius Nursery has sat closed and deteriorating ever since. Built with funds raised by International Samaritan, the nursery is operated and administered by our partner, the Municipality of San Pedro Sula. We continue to search for funds to repair and expand the Nursery to serve more children. Once the $50,000 renovation and expansion project is complete, more than 200 children will benefit from the safety and services of the re- opened nursery.
We ask that you please consider supporting reconstruction of this desperately needed facility.
